The combined Diagnostic Imaging and Radiation Oncology 2007 RANZCR Annual Scientific Meeting is to be held in Melbourne from 4 - 7 October. The Organising Committee are preparing to make the meeting a memorable experience.
The Diagnostic Imaging scientific program will focus on Body Imaging and Body Intervention “below the diaphragm”. An international and national faculty of renowned authorities in this field are being invited. The Kodak Baker Professor for 2007 is Professor Richard Semelka, Director of MR Services in the Department of Radiology and Vice Chairman of Clinical Research at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. He is well known in the field of abdominal imaging and has authored numerous scientific publications, books and chapters.
The Radiation Oncology program, 'Radiation Oncology in 2017', will focus on the future directions and practical applications of the discipline in this era of transformative advances in molecular medicine and technology leading to rapid acceleration of biomedical research and unprecedented progress against cancer. The distinguished international and local Faculties including Professor Walter Curran, Chair of the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group and Professor of Radiation Oncology of the University of Pennsylvania, and Professor John Yarnold, Professor of Clinical Oncology of the Royal Marsden Hospital and the Institute of Cancer Research in London, will lead and support a highly stimulating program.
The evolving social program will be enjoyable and quintessentially Melbourne.
