These tours are optional and not included in the Meeting registration fees. Tickets can be purchased for these tours by completing Section E of the Registration Brochure.
Melbourne City Sights Tour
Date: Available daily throughout the meeting
Time: 0830 - 1200
Cost: A$65.00 per person
Experience the beautiful sights of Melbourne, on this luxury coach tour. Sights include Fitzroy Gardens, Captain Cook's Cottage, Parliament House, Windsor Hotel, Queen Victoria Market, 'MCG', Rod Laver Arena, Flinders Street Station, Young & Jackson's Hotel and St. Patrick's Cathedral.
Stop for morning tea in the Botanic Gardens Café (own expense) and see the famous Shrine of Remembrance, an amazing War Memorial.
Travel past the Grand Prix race track and over Westgate Bridge for panoramic views of Melbourne. See Port Phillip Bay, the Yarra River and the Arts Centre.

Melbourne Shopping Secrets Tour

A 3 hour guided walking tour through Melbourne’s arcades and lanes discovering the city’s creative retail community. This tour is designed to show participants some fabulous local designers and specialty retailers in the city. A little history and attention to amazing architecture is incorporated into the tour to inspire guests, followed by lunch and a glass of wine at an inner city café.

Queen Victoria Markets “Foodies” Tour

Enjoy all the colour and excitement of the real Queen Victoria Market on a two hour walk through the market with an experienced guide. The Foodies Tour will allow you to discover a world of new tastes and flavours as you tantalise your tastebuds sampling the finest produce in Melbourne whilst developing an historic understanding of the markets beginnings and it’s cultural and heritage links.

Yarra Valley Food and Wine Journey
Date: Sunday 07 October 2007

The Yarra Valley is the historical home of the Victorian Wine Industry in Australia and a scenic area that is a must see for any visitor to Melbourne. The State's first vineyard was planted in 1837 at what is now Yering Station Winery. The Yarra Valley is now home to over 40 wineries.
This full day provides great insight into the area, with tastings at De Bortoli Winery with cheese and fruit, cellar door tasting at Yering Station Winery and visit to the Yering Station Produce Store and Art Gallery. Lunch will be at the award winning Domaine Chandon followed after a tour. On the return trip, enjoy tasting at Coldstream Hills Winery and cheese and wine tasting at Yarra Valley Dairy and Yarra Valley Wine Hub, a cellar door for small producers of single vineyard wines.

Day Tours Departure Point
All tours that include transport, except the Yarra Valley Food and Wine Journey will depart from the Tours Departure Point which is located in the Atrium of the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Yarra Valley Food and Wine Journey includes transfers to and from official conference hotels. (Please note that not all tours include transport).
Day Tour Terms and Conditions
These tours, designed by Tour Hosts Destination Management (license No. 2TA001144), are for participating delegates and accompanying persons of the RANZCR 58 th Annual Scientific Meeting. All sightseeing tours include informative English speaking commentary, all entry fees and meals where specified. Comfortable shoes and clothing are recommended for all tours. For any outdoor tours we recommend that participants bring sun protection cream, sunhat and sunglasses. Some tours are based on a minimum number of participants. If minimum numbers are not reached, alternative arrangements or a complete refund will be made. Places on all tours are limited and will be allocated strictly in order of receipt of payment. No space on tours will be reserved without full payment. Where participants cancel their day tour bookings prior to 30 August 2007, payment will be refunded in full. Thereafter, no refund will be made.
