We are pleased to announce for 2009 a Combined Scientific Meeting which marks the joining of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR), (including the Faculty of Radiation Oncology (FRO), The Australian Institute of Radiography (AIR) and the Australasian College of Physical Scientists & Engineers in Medicine (ACPSEM). General Policies and Requirements
Abstracts for Scientific Paper, Scientific Exhibits (poster) and Educational Exhibits (poster) at the RANZCR 2008 Annual Scientific Meeting will be called for end January 2008.
- All abstracts will be reviewed by the following criteria and the top ranking abstracts will be selected for oral presentation:
1. Importance of the topic
2. Originality
3. Quality of study design
4. Academic contribution
5. Likelihood of provoking discussion
- All abstracts must be original work. An abstract should not be submitted if the work is to be published/presented at a major national or international meeting prior to the RANZCR 2008 ASM.
- The purpose of the abstract is to define the precise subject of the presentation to an audience.
- Scientific Papers and Scientific Exhibits should present the results of “standard” scientific studies.
- Educational Exhibits should be designed to teach or review radiologic signs, pathologic correlations, procedures, techniques, treatments, and interventions or other aspects related to the practice of imaging.
- Submission acknowledges consent to publication of the abstract on the website, Australasian Radiology Journal (ARA) and the RANZCR 2008 ASM CD-ROM. All accepted abstracts will be published in the Australasian Radiology Journal (ARA) and all full papers by invited and international speakers will be published on the RANZCR 2008 ASM CD-ROM.
- The presenting author will be required to register for the Meeting in order to ensure their abstract(s) is included in the final program. Deadline for presenting author registration is 15 July 2008.
- Please print a copy of the abstract submission form for your records prior to clicking the submit button.
- All submissions must be completed electronically via the online submission facility. If you are unable to submit in this manner, please contact the Meeting Managers at ranzcrasm@tourhosts.com.au or phone: +61 2 9265 0700 for further information.
- All abstracts must be prepared according to the guidelines provided. Abstracts will be published exactly as submitted. Please ensure author details, spelling and abstract title are correct.
