Dr Farhana Fadzli
College of Radiology, Academy of Medicine of Malaysia (MCoR)
Dr Farhana Fadzli is a Consultant Breast Radiologist and Nuclear Medicine Physician at Hospital Picaso, Malaysia. She completed her postgraduate training at Universiti Malaya, obtained her FRCR qualification from the United Kingdom, and completed a Fellowship in Breast Imaging in 2019. Her clinical and research interests include Breast Imaging, Molecular Imaging, and Neuroradiology. She has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and presented at numerous scientific meetings. Dr. Farhana currently serves as President of the College of Radiology and the Malaysian Society of Radiologists, leading initiatives in radiology education, professional development, and healthcare advocacy.
Prof Mathias Prokop
European Society of Radiology – ESR
Professor Mathias Prokop, MD, PhD, is a distinguished leader in radiology and medical imaging and serves as Professor and Chairman of the Department of Medical Imaging at Radboud University Medical Center (Radboudumc) in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Born on July 18, 1960, in Munich, Germany, he has built an internationally recognized career spanning clinical practice, research, and academic leadership.
He studied medicine and physics in Germany and completed his radiology training at Hanover Medical School, earning both his MD and PhD with distinction. His early work focused on advancing computed tomography (CT), particularly improving image quality while reducing radiation exposure. His academic career includes key roles in Hanover, Vienna, and Utrecht, where he became a full professor in 2004.
Since 2009, Professor Prokop has held senior leadership positions at Radboudumc, overseeing an integrated department of radiology, nuclear medicine, and anatomy. He also served as Chairman of Radiology at the University Medical Center Groningen from 2022 to 2024. His research interests include thoracic imaging, lung cancer screening, COVID-19 imaging, and artificial intelligence applications in medical imaging.
A prolific researcher and educator, he has published extensively, contributed to international guidelines, delivered over 500 invited lectures, and supervised numerous PhD candidates. His work has significantly advanced modern medical imaging and patient care worldwide.
Prof Takamichi Murakami
Japan Radiological Society
Prof. Murakami graduated from Kobe University School of Medicine in 1986, and then completed postgraduate training at the Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine in 1991. From 1991 to 2006, he became Fellow, Assistant Professor, and Associate Professor of Radiology at the Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine. He was the Visiting Assistant Professor of Radiology, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (1994-1995). He was Professor and Chairman of Radiology at the Kindai University Faculty of Medicine; a position he has since 2006. He is Professor and Chairman of Radiology at the Kobe University Graduate School of Medicine; a position he has since 2018. He was a Dean at the Kobe University Graduate School of Medicine; a position he has from 2023 to 2026. He has also received a number of awards including e.g. twelve “Certificate of Merit Awards”and two “Cum Laude Awards of Radiological Society of North America”. He has published more than 900 articles including Japanese articles. He has given more than 430 presentations in the area of his expertise on numerous occasions to international audiences. He is a president of Japanese Radiological Society and a council member of Asia Society of Abdominal Radiology, etc. He is an Honorable membership of Korean Congress of Radiology (2022) and European Society of Radiology (2024). His research interest is “Radiological diagnosis and Interventional Radiology of liver disease”.
Dr Yoko Satoh
Japan Radiological Society
Dr Yoko Satoh is a Clinical Professor of Radiology at Fujita Health University, Japan. She specializes in nuclear medicine and breast imaging, with a particular focus on PET-based diagnostics and breast-dedicated PET. She has authored 24 first- or corresponding-author original articles and has contributed to major national and international guidelines in breast imaging and nuclear medicine. Dr. Satoh is a Board Member of the Japanese Society of Nuclear
Medicine, where she is involved in Asian academic affairs, and is actively engaged in international collaborations across Asia, including Japan, China, and Korea. She also participates in international academic exchange activities on behalf of the Japan Radiological Society.
Dr Jeffrey S. Klein
Radiological Society of North America RSNA
Dr Klein is a consultant in the Department of Radiology at the VA White River Junction Healthcare System and an internationally respected expert in lung cancer detection and staging. He has made significant contributions to radiological scholarship, serving as editor of RadioGraphics from 2012 to 2020 and as editor-in-chief of the Journal of Thoracic Imaging from 2000 to 2005. A dedicated contributor to scientific publishing, he has long served as a manuscript reviewer for leading journals, including Radiology, RadioGraphics, the American Journal of Roentgenology, and Cancer. In recognition of his expertise, he received a Radiology Editor’s Recognition Award with Special Distinction in 2010.
Dr Klein has demonstrated strong leadership within the radiology community, including serving as President of the Society of Thoracic Radiology from 2005 to 2006. He also contributed to national initiatives, including CT accreditation efforts with the American College of Radiology and expert panels addressing radiation exposure policy.
An accomplished educator, he has received multiple teaching awards from institutions such as UCSF, the University of Vermont, and SUNY Downstate. His academic career spans appointments at UCSF, St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, and the University of Vermont, where he held leadership roles and an endowed professorship. Through his clinical, academic, and editorial work, Dr. Klein has made lasting contributions to thoracic imaging and medical education.
Prof Alan Matsumoto
American College of Radiology – ACR
Dr Alan H. Matsumoto is a Professor in Department of Radiology & Medical Imaging at the University of Virginia (UVA) & Director of the UVA Focused Ultrasound Center of Excellence.
After completing training in internal medicine and diagnostic and interventional radiology, Alan joined the faculty at UVA in 1991, where he still practices. He also served as the Department Chair for 15 years until 2024. He has co-authored more than 300 manuscripts and book chapters, given over 300 invited talks, and been involved in the training of more than 300 Radiology residents and 150 IR residents and fellows. He has received a Lifetime Achievement award from the American Board of Radiology, a Gold Medal from the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) and the ATLAS (A Teacher, Leader And Scholar) award from the VIVA Foundation. Alan has served as the President of the SIR, Chair of the American College of Radiology (ACR) Board of Chancellors and is currently the President of the ACR.
Dr Chamaree Chuapetcharasopon
Asian Oceanian Society of Radiology
Dr. Chamaree Chuapetcharasopon is President of the Asian Oceanian Society of Radiology (AOSR) for the 2025–2027 term and Deputy CEO of MedPark Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand. She is a senior radiologist and healthcare executive with over three decades of experience spanning clinical practice, hospital management, and regional professional leadership.
Dr. Chuapetcharasopon has held key leadership roles, including President of the Radiological Society of Thailand and the Thai Medical Informatics Association. Her work focuses on advancing radiology services, digital transformation, and the integration of artificial intelligence to enhance quality, equity, and system efficiency across Asia-Oceania.
She is actively engaged in international collaboration and education, including her contributions to the RSNA Committee of International Radiology Education. Her current interests include leadership development, capacity building, and responsible adoption of AI in healthcare systems.
Prof Christine M. Glastonbury
American Roentgen Ray Society – ARRS
Christine M. Glastonbury, MBBS, is a Professor of Radiology & Biomedical Imaging, Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery, and Radiation Oncology at the University of California, San Francisco and has the title of Elizabeth A. Guillamin Endowed Chair. Dr. Glastonbury is a Neuroradiologist with a particular academic and clinical interest in Head & Neck (HN) Imaging. She works closely with the Radiation Oncologists and HN surgical and oncology team at the weekly tumor board and radiation planning sessions to optimize the care of HN cancer patients at UCSF and is a member of the HN Expert Panel for the development of the American Joint Committee on Cancer [AJCC] Cancer Staging System, 8th and 9th editions. Christine is also the first radiologist member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Networks [NCCN] Head and Neck Cancers Panel. She has authored and edited multiple textbooks, more than 140 articles and received multiple awards for scientific and education exhibits at annual meetings.
Originally from Adelaide, Australia, where she completed her medical degree and radiology training, Christine spent a year in London at the Hammersmith Hospital and at the Royal Marsden, Surrey, before 2-year Neuroradiology fellowship at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City. After having previously been Neuroradiology fellowship program director and interim chief of Neuroradiology through COVID, Christine is the Vice-Chair for Academic Affairs and the director of Mentoring in Radiology. She served as the Program President for the World Federation of Neuroradiological Societies’ 2022 meeting in New York City, hosted by the ASNR, and was elected President for the American Society of Head and Neck Radiology in September 2024. She is the current Vice President of the American Roentgen Ray Society.
