Dr Luke Toh
Senior Consultant and Head of the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Imaging at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH)
Dr Luke Toh is Senior Consultant and Head of the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Imaging at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH). He is fellowship trained in Paediatric Interventional Radiologist. He is also heavily involved in supporting the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Division, with over a decade of experience in the co-management of cases of abnormal placentation and post-partum haemorrhage.
Dr Toh is an Adjunct Assistant Professor with the Department of Anatomy at The Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, The National University of Singapore. He has also been an active faculty of the Centre for Medical Ethics and Professionalism, Singapore Medical Association.
Professor Afshin Gangi, M.D.

Professor Afshin Gangi received his education at the International French School of Teheran, graduating in 1980. During the summer of 1980, Professor Gangi attended medical school at the University of Reims in France, receiving his degree in 1987. Professor Gangi began his residency in Strasbourg in 1987, first in the intensive care unit and pneumology where he became excited about imaging and moved to the imaging department. After his residency in general radiology and neuroradiology, Professor Gangi worked for a year in Luxembourg with Professor R.F. Dondelinger in interventional radiology.
Professor Gangi began his fellowship in Strasbourg in November 1991 in the department of neuroradiology and MSK with special interest in percutaneous procedures. He performed his first vertebroplasty in 1989 during his residency and continued to develop image-guided procedures in interventional oncology, especially under CT-C arm fluoroscopy and MR guidance. In 1995, Professor Gangi obtained his Ph.D. in Laser Physics in Strasbourg. During the same year, he was appointed Assistant Professor in the University Hospital of Strasbourg and became a full Professor of Radiology in 2000. Since 2014, Professor Gangi has worked at King’s College London in research in interventional oncology and HIFU as an invited Professor with Professor Andy Adam.
Professor Gangi holds numerous patents and is an author of more than 300 peer reviewed articles. He has more than 40 book chapters to his credit along with over 500 abstracts at numerous national and international conferences.
Currently, Professor Gangi is the Chairman of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine in the university hospital and works in the department of interventional radiology in Strasbourg France. He is also a Professor of interventional Radiology at King’s College, London with a special interest in interventional oncology. Professor Gangi is actively involved in different international societies and is the past President of the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE).
Prof Ziv J. Haskal

Professor Ziv J. Haskal has made significant contributions to Interventional Radiology (IR), notably in early research on Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt (TIPS) and developing the TIPS stent graft. He validated interventional trans-arterial gene vector techniques, demonstrated radiation eye injury risks in IR, and led the first randomised trial of dialysis stent grafts. His expertise includes liver transplant interventions, embolization, and interventional oncology (IO).
Prof.. Haskal has authored over 400 publications, cited nearly 20,000 times, with significant citations in the AHA/ACC PAD Guideline. He has participated in 50+ research studies and delivered 700+ invited lectures globally. His accolades include honorary fellowships, named lectureships, societal awards for innovation, leadership, service, career, and research excellence.
As Deputy Editor-in-Chief of CVIR and Editor-in-Chief of JVIR, he tripled JVIR’s submissions and increased its impact factor to over 3, editing over 18,000 manuscripts. Prof. Haskal has founded, led, or designed many scientific congresses and mentored hundreds of trainees. His ‘Editor’s Writing Club’ seminars have reached over 1,000 attendees worldwide.
