Dr Danny Cho
Dr Danny Cho is a specialist in Interventional Radiology and an internationally recognised leader in radiology. A graduate of the University of Hong Kong, he is currently Chief of Service in the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology at Kwong Wah Hospital, and Honorary Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Hong Kong. He also serves as Chairman of the Radiographers Board of Hong Kong.
Dr Cho holds prominent leadership roles across major radiological organisations, including Vice President of the Hong Kong College of Radiologists, President-Elect of the Asian Oceanian Society of Radiology, and Chair of the RSNA Regional Committee for Asia/Oceania. He is also Past President and Honorary Advisor of the Hong Kong Society of Interventional Radiology.
Renowned for his contributions to education, research, and clinical innovation, Dr. Cho is a frequent invited speaker at international conferences and was honored as a keynote plenary speaker at the opening session of AOCR 2026.
Prof Alan Matsumoto
Dr Alan H. Matsumoto is a Professor in Department of Radiology & Medical Imaging at the University of Virginia (UVA) & Director of the UVA Focused Ultrasound Center of Excellence.
After completing training in internal medicine and diagnostic and interventional radiology, Alan joined the faculty at UVA in 1991, where he still practices. He also served as the Department Chair for 15 years until 2024. He has co-authored more than 300 manuscripts and book chapters, given over 300 invited talks, and been involved in the training of more than 300 Radiology residents and 150 IR residents and fellows. He has received a Lifetime Achievement award from the American Board of Radiology, a Gold Medal from the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) and the ATLAS (A Teacher, Leader And Scholar) award from the VIVA Foundation. Alan has served as the President of the SIR, Chair of the American College of Radiology (ACR) Board of Chancellors and is currently the President of the ACR.
Prof Dr Romaric Loffroy
Dr Romaric Loffroy, M.D., Ph.D., is Professor of interventional radiology currently working at the University of Dijon School of Medicine. Originally from Dijon, France, Dr Loffroy obtained his medical degree from the University of Burgundy, Dijon, France in 2001 and then perceived his residency in radiology at the same University, completed in 2006. Thereafter, his special interest in the field of interventional radiology led him to do a clinical fellowship in interventional radiology at the department of vascular and interventional radiology at the University Hospital in Dijon, France. His field of expertise is in interventional radiology, especially in embolization techniques, with particular interest in gastrointestinal bleeding as well as peripheral venous and arterial diseases.
Dr Loffroy’s keen interest in the field of research in interventional oncology brought him to the research center in the department of interventional radiology at the prestigious Johns Hopkins Medical Hospital in Baltimore as a postdoctoral research fellow in 2009. Dr Loffroy is currently doing research in liquid embolic agents, especially cyanoacrylates, and working towards newer endovascular therapies for benign prostatic hyperplasia, venous diseases and liver cancer.
Dr Loffroy has published more than 250 SCI journal papers and book chapters, edited/reviewed for many academic journals, coordinated/participated in several international projects, served as an evaluation expert for organizations such as French Society of Radiology (SFR) and High Authority of Health (HAS). He is currently the Past President of the French Society of Vascular and Interventional Imaging (SFICV) and the Director of European Liquid Embolic Course (ELEC).
